Taking cognizance of media reports about alleged fraud in the recruitment of police sub-inspectors in Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday ordered a probe into the matter. Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board, Sub-Inspector Result 2022 was declared online on 4th June.
Along with the list of shortlisted candidates, the JK Police Recruitment exam has come under the scanner after many candidates called it fraudulent and unfair.
Addressing the passing out parade of DSPs and probationary sub-inspectors at SKP, Sinha said, “For the last two to three days, newspapers have been publishing reports, leading to suspension of the recruitment of sub-inspectors.” Academy in Udhampur.
“A committee headed by Additional Chief Secretary (Home) will look into it,” he said. He said that it will submit its report in a time bound manner. Sinha said that if anything is found wrong during the investigation, the recruitment (list) will be cancelled.
He said that no finger has been pointed at any other recruitment done so far and if there is apprehension in the mind of the people, then it is the duty of the administration to take necessary action after conducting a fair investigation. On the occasion, the LG appreciated the young officers and said, “I am sure these brave officers will do their best to serve Maa Bharati and uphold the dignity of J&K Police.
Some candidates took to social media and questioned how siblings were selected together in many cases in the SI exam.
