Ahead of their new album release Proof, BTS sat down for a special video for Spotify Korea. Members, over the past few days, have been sharing excerpts about their thoughts on each era since its debut on the music streaming platform. While the videos were short, the members uncovered many details of each era. Now, a longer version of their chat was shared in which they shared messages from each era to their younger ones.
The members – RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook – first saw their debut and the HYYH era. Jimin recalled that he had heard his blockbuster song Run a lot during the era. “When we first won a TV concert, we were bewildered, which sometimes comes online,” Jin said.
Jungkook then sent a message to his younger self, saying, “Actually, I couldn’t find any because I believed everything was possible because I didn’t know anything else then. If we had known it wouldn’t have happened.” Would.” J-Hope told him short, “I’ll say, ‘Hey J-Hope! Just keep doing what you’ve been doing.’ I won’t explain things in detail. ‘Just do what you do and do your best.'”
The group then moved into the Wings and Love Yourself era. RM first remembered winning at the Billboard Music Awards. “We can win a Billboard Music Award and get that thanks to ARMY. Plus, for the first time ever, we performed at the AMAs,” Namjoon said. Also, during the Love Yourself series, we wanted to spread the message of loving ourselves and in the process, we found ways, and we got a lot of support and solace,” Suga said.
Jimin said, “At that point, I felt very comfortable with ARMY. I am very grateful to them.” When V was asked to share his message for his younger self, the singer warned, “I’ll say, ‘It’s going to be very hard.'” “Don’t you think you’ll run away?” Jungkook chuckled. “He might wonder, ‘Could it be any harder than this?’ And run away,” said Yonghi. “We all did everything we could because we didn’t know what was coming,” added the members, to which Taehyung replied, “Ignorance is bliss.”
The members then moved on to the Soul 7 and Bey era maps. Namjoon recalled, “For Map of the Soul got a lot of great songs that made legend stage and performance videos.” “Among them, the lead single was on, we can’t talk about it. Amazing song. We did a lot of preparation and wanted to surprise ARMY BUT!! Pandemic started and we were very upset,” Jimin said. confessed.
When RM was asked what he would like to convey to his younger self from that era, the BTS leader replied, “As tough as it was for us, I believe the army has been waiting for us for a long time.’ Never mind, this too shall pass.’ Now, I really don’t remember how hard it was for me during the pandemic.” It was then that Jimin revealed that Namjoon broke down when his plans were shattered due to the pandemic and the lockdown.
“You cried that time,” Jimin reminded Namjoon. “I think it’s because we were very upset because we had prepared a lot,” he explained.
