Actress Simran shares screen with R Madhavan after 20 years

Tamil star R Madhavan’s directorial debut Rocketry: The Nambi Effect has already created a lot of buzz among his fans and is getting a good response in theatres. The film was released in cinemas on Friday, July 1.

The film also marks the return of on-screen couple R Madhavan and Simran together. Both are sharing the screen for a film after almost 20 years. In a recent tweet, actress Simran shared her picture with Madhavan and wrote about her journey from their first collaboration in Parthale Parvasam to playing the role of Mr and Mrs Nambi Narayanan.

“From Madhav to Indira in Simi and Dr. Parthale Parvasam and Mr. and Mrs. Nambi Narayanan to Thiru in Kannathil Muthmittal, not much has changed,” Simran tweeted.

He later added a source in the tweet which read, “It was amazing working under your directorial debut apart from sharing the screen with you after 20 years! You are the best, Maddie.”

Madhavan plays the lead character in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, Nambi Narayanan, a former ISRO scientist. In 1994, Nambi Narayan was the head of ISRO’s cryogenics section and was imprisoned in an espionage case. Later in 1998, the Supreme Court acquitted him of all charges. The film portrays the struggle of renowned rocket scientists to break free of espionage charges.

The film was simultaneously shot in English, Hindi and Tamil. There is a big surprise element for the fans of Shah Rukh Khan as he is returning to the big screen after almost four years. Suriya made a cameo as a journalist in the Tamil version of the film, while Shahrukh Khan reprized the role in its Hindi and English versions.
