PANAJI: Goa recorded 103 covid-19 cases, three deaths and 481 recoveries on Thursday. With recoveries exceeding fresh infections, the count of active cases dropped to 1,227, while the case positivity rate marginally rose to 5.7%.
The fatality count shot up to 3,785.
A 58-year-old man from Reis Magos having comorbidities died within a few hours after he was hospitalised.
A 75-year-old woman from Ponda and a 74-year-old man from the same town died within a week of hospitalisation. Both had comorbid conditions, and were not vaccinated.
During the day, six patients were hospitalised and ten were discharged.
On Thursday, as many as 830 people in the general category were vaccinated. It also included 197 who received their first dose.
Precautionary dose was administered to 206 people.
