In the last few days, two leaders of the party, former MLA Sushil Rinku and Chaudhary Surinder Singh have joined the Aam Aadmi Party. Rinku is now the AAP candidate for the Jalandhar bypoll. Senior party leaders said that some Dalit leaders have been neglected by the party and now the results are coming out. A senior leader said, “The party needs to step up its efforts to include marginalized Dalit party leaders.”

Meanwhile, Sidhu met former CM Rajinder Kaur Bhattal at her Chandigarh residence. “The contribution of traditional Congressmen cannot be ignored and there is a need to bring the leaders back to the party activities,” he said.
