7 killed in house collapse in Karnataka’s Belagavi district.
Seven members of a family were killed when a house collapsed following heavy rains in Belagavi district’s Badal-Unkalgi village on Wednesday.
Sources said that out of the seven, five died on the spot and two on the way to the hospital. He told that two of the dead were girls of about 8 years.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai expressed grief over the incident and announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the victim.
Simultaneously, Bommai advised District In-charge Minister Govind Karjol to visit the spot on Thursday and take all necessary steps to the Deputy Commissioner of the district.
