657 new Kovid-19 cases registered in Telangana, two deaths Hyderabad News – Times of India

Hyderabad: Telangana On Tuesday, 657 new Covid-19 cases and 2 deaths were recorded, while the number of active cases in the state stood at 9,787.
The total number of cases since the start of the pandemic last year is 6,38,030 and the death toll is 3,766.
The number of active containment zones in the state stood at 39. Presently there are no active micro containment zones in Hyderabad, while Mahabubabad, Jaishankar Bhupalpally and Bhadadri Kothagudem have most of the active containment zones in the state.
A total of 704 patients were declared healthy on Tuesday, taking the total number of cured patients to 6,24,477. case fatality rate (CFR) is 0.59 percent while the recovery rate is now 97.87 percent. Of the total cases in the state so far, 79.8 per cent have been asymptomatic while 20.2 per cent have been symptomatic.
As many as 1,04,578 samples were tested for the novel coronavirus on Tuesday. Telangana has now completed testing of 2.07 crore samples and has reached 5.57 lakh sample tests per million population.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) reported 74 new cases on Tuesday, while neighboring Medchal Malkajgiri 27 cases were registered, Ranga Reddy 31 and Sanga Reddy 6. More cases were seen in Jagtial, Khamman, Mancherial and Nalgonda outside Hyderabad city and its outskirts.
