The Congress government of Himachal Pradesh can take a tough decision against Adani Group. In Himachal, Adani Group has closed the plants of its two cement companies Ambuja and ACC for two and a half months. The reason for this is the ongoing dispute between the company and the truck operators regarding the freight fare.

The Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu-led Congress government in Himachal is making vigorous efforts to resolve the dispute. The Industries Minister and the Chief Parliamentary Secretary (CPS) of the same department have arranged a meeting between the company and the truck operators, but no result could be found as Adani Group was adamant on its stand. In such a situation, now the CM can take a final decision by February 3.

The Chief Minister has called truck operators for the meeting for the third time on Friday. Earlier, two meetings with the Chief Minister remained inconclusive. The CM had also sought suggestions from the truck operators.

In the last one and a half months, truck operators have demonstrated several times against the Adani Group.

On the other hand, the truck operators have also warned the state government that if their problem is not resolved soon, they will stage a chakka jam on February 4. Sirmaur Truck Union has also supported the Chakka Jam of Solan and Bilaspur Truck Union. In such a situation, difficulties can also arise for the government.

Talking to reporters in Shimla on Thursday, the Chief Minister said that the government was playing the role of a mediator between the cement company and the truck operators. The government will take full care of the interests of the truck operator as he is a resident of Himachal. Their livelihood runs through trucks only.

The Chief Minister said that the Industries Department is continuously contacting him and the ministers are also trying to resolve the issue by holding a meeting. However, the company is not cooperating. The CM said that by the way there has been no talk with his own Adani Group. He expressed hope that the government will solve this issue soon.

This is the demand of truck operators
Truck operators have demanded that they should increase the volume of work, that is, their vehicle should run 50 thousand kilometers in a year, which is currently running only 20 thousand kilometers. Along with the increase in diesel, the annual rent should also be increased. Apart from this, the truck operators have demanded that the cement bags should not be exchanged.

Operators believe that by doing this, the dispatch of 9 districts is affected, due to which they are facing losses. On the other hand, the protest of truck operators continues in Darlaghat. Truck operators are protesting against the company by taking to the streets and raising slogans.
