Zachary Levi’s Shazam! Fury of the Gods Drops on DC Fandom

Los Angeles: “Shazam! Fury of the Gods”, says Hollywood star Zachary Levy, from his 2019 hit “Shazam!” the upcoming sequel, which will be “out of this world” as he shared behind-the-scenes footage from the new film at the 2021 DC fandom. The follow-up will continue the story of teen Billy Batson, who uses the magic words “Shazam!” is struck by the living lightning of the gods and replaces his adult superhero, Shazam, played by Levi.

Actor Asher Angel will reprise his role of teen Billy Batson. The first looks of veteran actor Helen Mirren’s character Hespera and Lucy Liu’s Kalypso were also revealed in footage dropped during an online fan convention on Saturday.

Angel said that recently the shooting of the film has been completed. David F. Sandberg, who directed the first part, is directing the sequel from a screenplay by Henry Gayden.

“Shazam! Fury of the Gods” is being produced by Peter Safran through The Safran Company. The film will debut in the US on June 2, 2023.
