Greater Noida: Police on Tuesday arrested a 24-year-old youth for allegedly posting morphed pictures of Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati On Facebook.
“The morphed picture was shared by a Twitter user, and the officers were tagged in it. We took cognizance of the matter, registered a case and started investigation.” Umesh BahadurSHO of Jewar police station.
“With the help of technical surveillance, man – rich KHANThe resident – a resident of Dayanatpur village in Jewar – was zeroed in near Sabota underpass on Tuesday and apprehended,” the SHO said.
Khan has been booked under sections 152B (accusation and claim prejudicial to national integration) and 505(2) (public mischief) of the IPC and the Information Technology Act.
