Auto driver sentenced to 7 years for rape Thane News – Times of India

Thane: The Special Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) court here convicted a 33-year-old auto driver for kidnapping and raping a teenager and sentenced him to seven years’ rigorous imprisonment.
Additional Sessions Judge convicted the accused VV Veerkari Said the Special Public Prosecutor, who imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on being found guilty under sections related to kidnapping, rape and POCSO Act. Rekha Hiwrale, He told the court that the victim is 17 years old and the accused are residents of the same locality. The victim’s father was also a rickshaw puller and was known to the family.
On December 28, 2017, the victim’s parents had gone out for work and she went missing. Her parents searched for the victim and then registered a case of kidnapping Naupada Police. he took her grow upUP, where he repeatedly raped her.
