A young man was caught by the sangat and tied to an iron pole at Gurdwara Shri Bhai Lalo Ji on Goniana Road in Bathinda, Punjab on Sunday. It is alleged that the young man beat up the Gurudwara manager, taunted his beard and abused him. After the information, the police reached the spot and arrested him after getting him released. A case has been registered against him for insulting religious sentiments. The youth has been identified as Kashmir Singh, District Bilaspur (Himachal Pradesh).

It has been told that a function was going on in Gurudwara Shri Bhai Lalo Ji Sahib in connection with the Prakash Utsav of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. At around 8.15 in the morning, a youth wearing a Kashmiri cap came to the Kashmeer Singh Gurdwara and started walking around after drinking tea. Mahima Sarja, a resident of Ajibi Singh, who was present on the spot, asked the young man why he was roaming unnecessarily. After that there was a commotion.

The young man remained tied there for a long time. He also kept appealing for release from those who came, but no one got him released. Meanwhile, SHO of Thana Thermal, Balwinder Singh reached the spot after getting information about the uproar in the Gurudwara. He listened to the company. The sangat was celebrated after hard work and after that the police personnel freed him from the pole. He said that the youth would be produced in the court and taken on remand. So that it can be ascertained for what purpose he had come to Gurdwara Sahib.
