Starring Yami Gautam in the lead role, Aditya Suhas Jambhale’s political drama film Article 370 has been making a big impression since its release. After a successful theatrical run, the film recently also made its way to OTT, gaining satisfactory results. Article 370 continues to influence viewers in India by putting forward meaningful discussions around the landmark revocation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. On the contrary, the film has now received responses from international fans. A Singapore resident recently watched the film and is all praise for its powerful narrative.
Yami Gautam shared a video of the man, a local tea stall vendor in Singapore, and extended heartfelt gratitude for his kind words. In the video, the man began by conveying genuine appreciation for the film, further admitting that he had limited information about Kashmir before watching it.
“I saw the movie, and it really excited me. I don’t know much about Kashmir, but this is the first time I saw something that was very enlightening,” he said. The man also made a special mention of Yami Gautam and said that he loved her performance. “I loved her acting. She did her best, and I am going to watch more of her movies. Keep it up and all the best,” he added.
Touched by the unexpected appreciation from overseas, Yami along with the video penned a long note and expressed her emotions on Instagram.
“A well-wisher of ours sent us a video featuring a very sweet gentleman, a tea vendor from Singapore, who shared his thoughts about our film. Although he couldn’t recall my name, he apparently referred to me as “the one with all the guns.” Such gestures & genuine reactions are immensely heartwarming…It feels wonderful how our film #Article370 has touched millions of hearts and enlightened them. Forever grateful for the love and support. Thank you,” she wrote.

The film revolves around the events that took place in the valley following unrest and the subsequent revocation of Article 370 in 2019. While Yami plays the role of Zooni Haksar, an intelligence officer tasked with ensuring stability in Kashmir amid escalating tensions, it further shows the challenges she faces while pursuing peace and security.
Besides Yami, the film also features actors like Priyamani, Arun Govil, among others. Article 370 recently completed its successful 50-day theatrical run.
