Released in April, the biographical series, Baby Reindeer has turned out to become a big success on Netflix.

Richard Gadd’s limited series, the Baby Reindeer, has turned out to be a certified sleeper hit, coming in at No. 1 position on Netflix’s English language rankings for the third consecutive week. Baby Reindeer is now all set to attain another milestone by becoming one of the most popular shows of all time on the streaming giant. After releasing on April 11 this year, the show witnessed a major growth in its viewership just on the basis of massive word-of-mouth, which led it to the most-watched charts.

According to a Deadline report, the stalker series gained around 18 million views between April 29 and May 5, bringing the total to 56.5 million in just 26 days. With this, the show is not only at the top of the streamer’s TV charts but has also become the most-watched title of the week again.

With that said, Baby Reindeer is now close to hitting Netflix’s most popular list, with almost 60 million views in its first month of release. Also, it just needs 27 million in the next 65 days of its 91-day premiere window to successfully enter the list of the Top 10 Most-Watched Netflix Shows of all time.

Currently, shows like Wednesday and Stranger Things are ruling the list with around 252 million views and 140 million views in the first and second positions, respectively. Also, The Witcher is the tenth most-watched show with 83 million views and Bridgerton season 2 is the ninth most-watched show with 93 million views.

More About Baby Reindeer

Written by and starring Richard Gadd, the seven-episode biographical series follows the story of Donny Dunn, a struggling comedian who happens to encounter a lonely woman, Martha Scott, at the bar where he works. However, their meeting takes a different turn after the lady is revealed to be a dangerous serial stalker.

Over the course of four years, she goes on to stalk him and send him over 41,000 emails, 744 tweets, 100 pages of letters and 350 hours of voicemails.

Notably, the show is said to be inspired by a real-life incident that Gadd faced. As viewers continue to speculate on the actual identity of his stalker, a woman named Fiona Harvey has come forward, claiming to be the “real” Martha. She is planning to “set the record straight” in a special interview with Piers Morgan.
