Hyderabad Police succeeded in busting a prostitution racket with the help of a female social worker. According to the police, the women were filmed naked and their body shape was used to figure out their “rates”. Syed Hussain, 35, and a Ghulam were behind the racket, and had set a trap for women in need of financial help. ,
Hussain was a lorry driver in Rajeshwar village of Basavakalyan district, while Ghulam operated a brothel in Kalburgi area. When Ghulam asked him, Hussain contacted his sister-in-law who lives in Salal area of Barkas. He took the room on rent saying that he was looking for a job there. He assures her that he is roaming around the old city looking for a job.
He came in contact with a woman resident of Vattepally in Falaknuma. With her, he began looking for women “suitable for prostitution.” “He laid a trap for women who were in financial distress, saying he would bail them out,” police said.
With false assurances, he brought them to his room and shot nude videos with his mobile phone, without face and legs. He sent the video to his boss Ghulam through WhatsApp, who later rated the woman after watching the video. Within a week, details of about 10 women were sent to Ghulam, where two women were from the old city.
On learning about the atrocities committed by Hussain, a female social worker accompanied by another woman went to his room. He dismissed the social worker saying that she looked too young and asked other women to come the next day with good makeup so that he could fix their rates as well.
After getting information from the female social worker, Chandrayangutta Inspector Prasad Verma along with his team reached Barkas and took the accused into custody. Police found pictures and videos of naked women in his mobile phone. A case was registered against him and further investigation is on.
