Chiyaan has joined forces with Vikram Gautham Menon for the action-drama Dhruv Nachtiram. The film is one of Vikram’s most anticipated but long delayed ventures. Some time back there were reports that the film will hit the theaters in June.
Vikram starts dubbing for his part while the makers are busy with the patchwork. As per reports, Vikram will complete the dubbing of the film by this week, and the project will soon start the post-production work, setting the stage for its June release.
There were also reports that since Vikram’s Ponniyin Selvan has been pushed from summer to September, the star is keen to present Dhruv Nachtiram this summer, most likely in June.
Dhruv Nachtiram is said to be an espionage thriller, and its development began in 2016. However, it has been put on hold since 2018 due to Gowtham Menon’s budgetary restrictions. Now, a leading production house, which is working with the filmmaker on a handful of films, will assist the director with the distribution of Dhruv Nachtiram.
Apart from Vikram, Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh, Simran, Radhika, Parthiban, and Divya Darshini join the ensemble cast, while Vinayakan is believed to portray the antagonist. The soundtrack was composed by Harris Jayaraj, while editing was done by Anthony.
Meanwhile, Vikram’s Cobra helmed by Ajay Gyanmuthu is nearing completion, and the star will have back-to-back releases. He will also be seen in Ponniyin Selvan after Cobra. The actor is also working on a project with filmmaker Pa Ranjith. Gautham Menon, on the other hand, has films including Joshua Imai Pol Kakha and Vendhu Thanindhathu Kadu in various stages of production.
