‘Will reach out to people in every way’: Sushmita Dev launches TMC outreach program in Tripura

Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev on Thursday launched a 12-day outreach program in Tripura in which party members would interact with people from 60 constituencies and highlight the BJP’s misrule in the state.

Unveiling the ‘Tripur Jonne Trinamool’ (TMC for Tripura) programme, Sushmita Dev said, “The people of Tripura are now TMC oriented… By not allowing rallies and meetings, the BJP is making a difference between the TMC and the people. So TMC will reach out to the people by all means.

The outreach program will be conducted from October 21 to 31 in which TMC plans to visit every part of Tripura in 15 vehicles. The work will be supervised by the Steering and Youth Committees, divided into three groups, which will ensure that Mamata Banerjee’s video message is spread, monitor the development works of the party members and as many panchayat and block level workers as possible. include.

Besides this, the leaders will hold “nukkad” (street) meetings in every village, block, bus stand and other public places to show the misrule under Chief Minister Biplab Deb in Tripura.

TMC tweeted, “The plethora of issues plaguing the land of Tripura under the misrule of @BJP4Tripura is shocking! We, through our outreach programme, will aim to interact with the people of Tripura and understand their issues, trying to the best of our ability to address them. #TripurarJonnoTrinamool”

Though the BJP said it was not upset about the TMC schedule, political analysts say Mamata’s party is adopting a similar strategy that the BJP used during the 2021 West Bengal Assembly election campaigns.

After its resounding victory in the assembly polls earlier this year, TMC is looking to expand its footprint to other states, especially the Northeast.
