He was speaking after inaugurating the 374th anniversary celebrations of Mallamma’s victory over the Maratha army.
“The contribution of women to the pride of Karnataka is immense,” Bommai said.
The younger generation should learn about them. We will start the initiative for the comprehensive development of Belwadi. Mega events will be organized in Belavadi next year as part of the celebrations. ,
Endorsing the CM’s views, Primary and Secondary Education Minister BC Nagesh said that neither the primary nor high school textbooks of the state have specific chapters or detailed descriptions about the lives of these brave women.
“It is unfortunate that we have no lessons from our brave women,” he said. “What we get to learn in schools is only a reference about them. The government will take steps to fix this. ,
Many academics say that this has happened because of the readiness of the government in preparing the syllabus on the lines of CBSE.
