The next major update to the operating system for the Apple iPhone, called iOS 15, is expected to be released next month. During the operating system’s launch in June, Apple showed off LiveText, SharePlay and a slew of other new features. However, many of these features may not arrive with the first release and may be added with the iOS 15 update in the following weeks, if the rumors are to be believed. Nothing new here, we’ve seen it before, when new features are added after a major iOS version is released. Here is a list of key features that may not come with the first release of iOS 15.
shareplay
SharePlay is a new feature coming to iOS that will let users share whatever’s playing on their screen — like a song or video — to others who use FaceTime. In a recent developer note, Apple revealed that SharePlay will be disabled in the early release of iOS 15.
identity card
One of the most useful features of the upcoming iOS is the ability to scan and store ID cards in the Wallet app. This feature supports multiple types of documents such as driver’s license and other proof of identity. Apple has confirmed that the ID card feature will be added in a separate update for iOS.
App Privacy Report
Apple has announced the App Privacy Report feature for iOS 15, which will provide a detailed description of the data and sensors accessed by apps over a period of seven days. Unfortunately, according to Apple, it won’t be available in the first release.
Detailed 3D navigation in CarPlay
While Maps with interactive 3D navigation is available in iOS 15 beta, the feature is not yet available in Apple CarPlay, the driving app for iPhone. According to Apple, the feature will arrive later than the first release.

One of the exciting new features of iOS 15 is Universal Control, the ability to control all of your Apple devices seamlessly with a single touchpad, mouse, and keyboard.
