Why shame on PM’s picture on wax certificate: Kerala High Court
The Kerala High Court on Monday asked a petitioner why it was ashamed of having Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s picture on the Covid-19 vaccination certificate.
This question was raised by Justice PV Kunhikrishnan who said, “He is our Prime Minister, not the Prime Minister of any other country. He came to power through our mandate. Just because you have political differences, you challenge it.” Can’t give. Why are you ashamed of our PM? 100 crore people have no problem with this, so why do you. Everyone has different political opinion, but he is still our PM. You are judicial. Wasting time,” the judge said.
When the petitioner’s counsel said that there is no such practice in other countries, the judge said, “He may not be proud of his Prime Minister, but we are proud of ours. You should be proud of whose immunization certificate you have. There is a picture. Our PM.”
The court also pointed out that the petitioner was a state-level master coach at the Jawaharlal Nehru Leadership Institute, which is named after a prime minister. “Why don’t you ask the university to take it down as well.”
The counsel for the petitioner continued to defend the petition and in the end, the court said that it would go through the arguments with an open mind in detail and decide whether it had any merit before dismissing it.
