Why is Namita Thapar of Shark Tank India asking if it’s time to get a new job?

New Delhi: Namita Thapar, Judge, Shark Tank India and Executive Director, Emcure Pharmaceuticals, is quite vocal on her views on work life balance and optimal working nature. Sharing a picture of Lebanese-American author and poet Khalil Gibran, the Shark Tank India judge said if one is not passionate about it then maybe it is time to switch to a new job.

“If you have the Monday blues, don’t love what you’re doing, time to get a new job? Why spend 80% of your life doing something you’re not passionate about? exists but we like to be in our comfort zone and don’t look hard enough for it, don’t settle for mediocrity in life.” Namita Thapar tweeted.

Thapar Didn’t stop at that post. When asked by a Twitter user if the people in his position also had the Monday blues, he replied that he never got it at Emcure.

“I never got the Monday blues at Emcure, actually I can’t wait to go to the office, we came to the office every single day through the pandemic, I love what I do and really live the quote – a Make (work) life you don’t need a vacation,” she tweeted.

Thapar urged people to stop wearing ‘I work long hours, I travel a lot, I don’t have time for family’ as a badge of honour. He also urged fellow entrepreneurs to take steps to correct the work-life balance of employees in all companies. Fixing the work-life balance will ensure that “we have a mentally fit and more productive generation”.

His tweet gained a lot of traction among users, most of whom supported a healthy work-life balance for the employees.
