Aman was born in a middle class family. Aman did his schooling from Delhi Public School RK Puram. He earned his bachelor’s degree in commerce from Delhi University and then he joined The Institute of Chartered Accounts of India. He holds an MBA in General Management and Marketing as an exchange student at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the Indian School of Business.

He joined the workforce right after his education; However, the entrepreneurial dream took him to wider business horizons. He began his career at City as assistant manager. He later joined KPMG as Senior Management Consultant. Later, he co-founded Advanced Telemedia Pvt Ltd and rose to the position of CEO. Although he himself was a music lover, he made a mark in the related field and started his own company ‘BOAT’. He co-founded boAt in 2016 with Sameer Mehta.
BoAt struggled during its initial years with a meager funding of around Rs 3 lakh from the founders, but the potential of the business later took it forward. According to media reports, Aman Gupta’s total assets are Rs 700 crore.
Within two years of its journey, boAt had crossed the 100 crore mark in national sales. It became the largest and most popular ear wear brand in the country in 2019. Also, Aman was given the Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2020.

Aman was born in 1982 to parents Neeraj Gupta (father) and Jyoti Kochhar Gupta (mother). He has two siblings – Anmol Gupta his brother and Neha Gupta his sister.

A report by Redseer Strategy Consultants, released in July 2023, stated that over Rs 1 billion was invested in Shark Tank India deals including seasons 1 and 2. Aman Gupta was the most active shark bagging 70 deals with a total investment of Rs 246 million. Just behind Aman were Piyush Bansal and Namita Thapar who bagged 67 and 62 deals with a total investment of Rs 215.5 million and Rs 206.6 million respectively. Of the total eight sharks appearing on the show, six preferred businesses in the food and beverage industry, while the remaining preferred investing in healthcare.
