Sapna Choudhary talks about facing prejudice in Hindi film industry
Dancer and actress Sapna Choudhary is creating panic in the Haryanvi film industry with her killer dance moves and scintillating performances. She gained huge recognition after her appearance in the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 11. While people loved her on the small screen, Sapna failed to make a mark in Hindi films. Talking about the same, the actress revealed that since she has no godfather, it is difficult to get an opportunity. However, he is eager to explore.
Sapna Choudhary told ETimes that while everyone believes that one’s life changes after Bigg Boss, but it is not true for everyone. She said, “People think contestants become big celebrities after doing shows. But it is not so. People misbehave in the house to win games! I played a certain way which I was comfortable with but overall It really didn’t work for me.”
She said, “I will be completing 15 years in the industry this year. I want to act in a Hindi film or TV show, but I feel that since I am from the regional entertainment industry (Haryana), I don’t get opportunities. Show off your talents. I don’t want to wear skin-exposing clothes and I can’t speak fluent English, which sometimes becomes a hindrance. Plus, I don’t have a godfather and that’s another reason why I get a break I am struggling for Hindi industry.
Sapna also told how the designers refused to give her clothes. He said, “What I have seen is that people in Mumbai will talk to you only when they have some work to do with you. The industry is full of people who judge constantly and there have been times when I don’t have clothes. Miles. It’s because of the designers who I am. I don’t know how I survived for so long.”
