As per the report, it will be possible to share documents of up to 2GB in size, and a Wi-Fi connection is recommended for faster sharing of those large documents.
After rolling out four new features recently, Meta-owned instant messaging application WhatsApp is reportedly working on a presentation sheet to announce the ability to share documents of up to 2GB. This feature is planned to be released in a future update of the iOS app.
“WhatsApp would like to announce that the ability to share documents up to 2 GB in size is now available, making it easier to share large documents,” WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp, reported.
“This feature is not new as WhatsApp has already released it last year with the ability to add up to 512 people in groups. Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.3.0.76 update, we learned that there are plans to release a similar feature in future updates to the iOS app.”
As per the report, it will be possible to share documents of up to 2GB in size, and a Wi-Fi connection is recommended for faster sharing of those large documents.
Also, when you share large files or documents on WhatsApp using mobile data connection, the amount of data consumed can increase exponentially, so we suggest you to avoid similar situations and save mobile data. Recommend to use Wi-Fi connection. A presentation sheet announcing the ability to share large documents is under development and will be released in a future update to the app.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp has announced four new features – document captions, longer group subjects and descriptions, the ability to share up to 100 media, and avatars. These features are made available to all users who install the latest version of WhatsApp for Android from Play Store.
