Now, a report states that WhatsApp is working on a new feature that allows group admins on WhatsApp to delete messages for other group members as well. It gives the power to the admin of WhatsApp groups to delete a message without asking if the admin doesn’t want the member to see the said message.

The latest report comes from WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo which states that the ability to delete messages in a group will soon be available for Android users. “If you are a group admin, you will be able to delete any messages for everyone in your group in a future update to WhatsApp Beta for Android,” WABetaInfo said in a tweet. The WhatsApp tracker also shared a screenshot along with the tweet, showing how a message deleted by a group administrator would appear to Android users.

“This message was removed by an administrator, WAbetaInfo (administrator name),” the deleted message reveals. The feature would also question the intent of group admins, while making it easier for admins to remove obscene or inappropriate messages from their groups.
