WhatsApp expands message reaction feature, now you can use all emoji to react to messages

Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp launched the message reaction feature earlier this year. However, this feature is limited to only a few emoji. Now, WhatsApp is moving like Instagram and bringing users the ability to respond to messages with any emoji they choose.

one in Facebook Post, Meta Founder Mark Zuckerberg said that WhatsApp is now rolling out the ability to use any emoji when reacting to messages WhatsApp, Zuckerberg also listed some of his favorite emoji with the post. This comes just a few months after the company introduced the ability to allow users to react to messages online. Earlier, WhatsApp only allowed users to react to messages with only six emoji.

Users can find all the emoji with which they can react to a message by simply long-pressing it. This opens a menu containing the last six emoji with a “+” sign. Clicking on the plus icon will open a menu showing every emoji available, from smiley faces to new emoji like the saluting emoji and melting face.

This isn’t the first time we’re hearing about more emoji appearing in WhatsApp message responses. The feature has been in beta on both Android and iOS for the past few versions, and brings WhatsApp’s feature on par with other meta-owned messaging services that allow users to react to messages with emoji. This feature is currently being rolled out, so if it doesn’t appear on your WhatsApp yet, it may come in the coming few days.

WhatsApp also announced the expansion of message responses via a tweet. “All the emoji reactions since you asked are here!” The post states that it is being rolled out for all Android and iOS devices.
