WhatsApp Developing Chat Security With New Lock Feature

New Delhi: Popular messaging platform WhatsApp is apparently developing a new feature called Lock Chats. According to the Mashable website, the beta version of Android is now being used to test the functionality. This indicates that WhatsApp has not made it available to a large audience.

Thanks to the new functionality, users will be able to lock their private conversations inside a chat’s contact or group information. It enhances the privacy and security of users and gives them full control over who can see their private conversations. ,Also read: PhonePe launches new shopping app called Pincode – Check out the list of services it offers,

The Lock Chat function also prevents images and videos from being automatically stored in the device’s gallery when they are sent in Lock Chat.

Users can feel more secure knowing that this extra layer of security can prevent sensitive media from being read by anyone other than the intended receiver. No release date has yet been set for the Lock Chat functionality, which is still under development.

Nevertheless, this function allows users more control over their chats and content and represents a major improvement in WhatsApp’s privacy.

It’s important to note that WhatsApp has been concerned about privacy and security lately, especially in the wake of new privacy standards being established.
