‘What Happened to Shraddha Walker Can…’: Sadhvi Prachi on Swara Bhasker’s Marriage

New Delhi: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Sadhvi Prachi recently commented on the actress Swara Bhasker’s marriage Samajwadi Party leader Fahad Ahmed. Talking to reporters, Prachi said that Swara Bhaskar has always been against Hinduism and it is no wonder that she married someone outside her religion. Sadhvi Prachi also mentioned the Shraddha Walker murder case and said that if Swara is not careful then she too may meet the same fate. In the Shraddha Walker murder case, her live-in partner Aftab Poonawalla allegedly cut her body into 35 pieces and kept them in his refrigerator before disposing of them.

Talking to the media, the VHP leader said, “Before taking such a big decision, he should have seen the fridge once. It is his personal choice. I have nothing much to say. But what happened with Shraddha, Swara Might as well be with.” Videos containing his controversial comments were shared by several news portals on Twitter.

Swara Bhaskar announced her marriage to Samajwadi Party leader Fahad Ahmed on 16 February on social media platforms. As she shared the happy news and celebration pictures from her court marriage, Bhaskar lauded the Special Marriage Act for “giving love a chance”.

On her Twitter, she wrote, “Three cheers for the #SpecialMarriageAct (notice period etc notwithstanding) at least it exists and gives love a chance… Right to love, Right to choose your life partner, Marry The right to act, the right to agency. It shouldn’t be a privilege.”

Both Swara and Fahadh, who are Samajwadi Party leaders, took the internet by storm when they shared videos on their respective social media handles to announce the news. The actor shared that they registered their marriage in the court on January 6, 2023, under the Special Marriage Act.
