‘We’re Waiting for Fitness Update on Ruturaj and Deepak’: CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan

The Chennai Super Kings team management is still awaiting the fitness update of its key players Ruturaj Gaikwad and Deepak Chahar, who got injured during the white-ball series against West Indies last month, CEO Kasi Viswanathan said on Sunday.

While Ruturaj suffered a hand injury, Chahar suffered a hamstring injury, which would require him to be out of action for at least six to eight weeks. Chahar has a very high chance of missing out on the first leg of the IPL, if not the full-fledged tournament.

Right now, the available CSK players have gathered in Surat and are setting up a camp at the Lalabhai Contractor Stadium, which hosts a lot of games for the Indian women’s team.

When asked about the availability of Ruturaj, the highest run-scorer last year and Chahar’s purchase of Rs 14 crore this year, Viswanathan said, “We are not aware of his current fitness status and will not be able to tell when he will join the team.” Will be

Once the rehabilitation program is completed, All India players need to be in the NCA and get clearance certificate after appearing in various fitness tests.
