Weather Updates: It rained again in the early hours of Sunday in parts of Delhi NCR. Delhiites had a pleasant morning as it rained heavily in the national capital and neighboring areas. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall over east central and northwest India for the next five days.

Scattered thunderstorms with widespread to widespread rain

“Light/moderate to widespread rainfall with isolated thunder and lightning very likely over western Himalayan region during June 24-28 and over plains of northwest India (except west Rajasthan) during June 25-28. Separate – Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places. Rainfall with extremely heavy falls very likely over Uttarakhand on June 25. Isolated heavy/very heavy rainfall likely over Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh during June 24-28 Heavy rainfall at isolated places very likely over West Uttar Pradesh during June 24-26; Heavy rainfall likely over East Uttar Pradesh during June 24-28. June 25-26; 25 more over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi on June 26 and over East Rajasthan during June 25-28,” the IMD said in a statement.

Southwest Monsoon has further advanced

The IMD also said that the southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of central Arabian Sea. It further extended to some more parts of Maharashtra, remaining parts of Karnataka, Telangana and Chhattisgarh, some parts of East Madhya Pradesh, some more parts of Uttar Pradesh, most parts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and parts of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Has increased ,
