Tamil Nadu Weather Updates: More rain has been predicted in Chennai as well as other parts of Tamil Nadu, as the Southwest Monsoon has settled over the state. The Chennai Regional Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain and thundershowers over Tamil Nadu including Chennai on Tuesday (June 21).
The Regional Meteorological Center said, “Light to moderate rain is very likely at isolated places over Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Ranipet, Nilgiris, Erode, Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri districts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during the next 1-3 hours.” “
It has been raining heavily in Chennai for the last two days and some areas have received record breaking rains. Thunderstorms are likely to continue over Tamil Nadu for the next five days at isolated places over the state, the Regional Metrological Center (RMC of Chennai) predicted on Tuesday.

The RMC issued a thunderstorm warning at isolated places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal region on Tuesday and Wednesday. It further predicted that light to moderate rain and thundershowers are very likely at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal region on Wednesday (June 22).
It predicted, “Light to moderate rain very likely at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal region from Thursday (June 23) to Saturday (June 25).”
The Regional Weather Forecasting Agency has predicted partly cloudy sky with a minimum temperature of 24 to 25 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of around 33 degrees Celsius in and around the city.
