West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) The result date for WBJEE 2022 has been announced. As per the latest announcement, WBJEE 2022 result will be released next week on June 17 from 4 PM. Candidates who appeared for the exam will be able to check their result on the official website wbjeeb.in. To access the result students will need their application number and date of birth, as mentioned on the admit card.
The board had earlier released the preliminary answer key. Students were allowed to raise objections against the same till May 8 by paying a fee of Rs 500 per question to raise objections. The objections raised will be studied and if necessary, changes will be made in the final answer key and the results will be prepared accordingly. WBJEEB will release the merit list as per the final result only.
WBJEE 2022: How to calculate marks before results
Candidates can calculate their probable marks before the results by using the answer key released by WBJEEB. As per the marking scheme, there are 40 questions each in Physics and Chemistry section and 75 questions in Mathematics. Each paper has three categories.
In the first category, one mark will be awarded for each correct answer while one-fourth of the mark will be deducted for each wrong attempt. In Category 2, for every correct answer, candidates will be awarded two marks and one and a half marks will be deducted for wrong answers. There is no negative marking in Category 3.
This year, the exam was conducted on April 30 in pen and paper mode at various exam centers in the state. Last year, the result was declared on August 6. A total of 99.5 percent students passed the exam. Panchojanyo Dey topped the WBJEE 2021, followed by Soumyajit Dutta and Brattin Mandal, who secured the second and third positions respectively.
