Watch: UP Police Issues Rs 1.33 Lakh Challan To Student Performing Stunts In Father’s Car

Stunting on public roads is dangerous and prohibited by law. However, there is a never-ending list of cases of people pulling such stunts. In a recent incident in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, a student was found performing stunts using his father’s car. The video of the stunt on public roads is being shared on social media platforms and has gone viral. As soon as the video went viral, several social media users made complaints against such acts, following which the UP Police took action against the owner of the car.

Taking cognizance of the incident, the UP police traced the details of the car and the owner to issue challans for violating road safety rules. During investigation, the police department came to know that there was an outstanding challan of Rs 1.33 lakh on the vehicle. Moreover, the police were planning to challan Rs 37,000 for the recent violation in the stunt video.

Based on the stunt video, the owner of the Hyundai i20 was booked for dangerous driving, violation of traffic rules, speeding on a public road, driving without insurance, tinted glass, violating instructions given by the authorities and violating the standard. The red Hyundai i20 Elite hatchback registered 15 violations in 2019 and received challans for the same. The vehicle owner did not pay the fine and continued to drive the vehicle breaking more laws. As soon as the department got the information about the outstanding challan, the officials took action against the driver and the vehicle. They seized the car and took into custody the driver, Shyamveer, a resident of Greater Noida’s Kambakhshpur area.

In the video, the driver can be seen posing with his father’s Hyundai i20 Elite premium hatchback. According to reports, the person driving the car was a minor. The authorities are currently working to suspend the registration and license of the car and driver in addition to arresting the person and impounding the vehicle. Police has started action.
