The team of Major starring Adivasi Shesh has planned about the release date of the film on the occasion of Diwali. Major is all set to hit the screens on February 11, 2022. Apart from the release date update, the makers have released a video, which offers the making-of-measures, that takes the audience to the sets of the film. Creating a lot of anticipation, the making of the video has grabbed attention. Earlier, the team had come up with an interesting teaser, which boosted the prospects of the film.
Directed by Shashi Kiran Tikka, the film is based on the life of 2008 Mumbai attack martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Shobhita Dhulipala and Sai Manjrekar will be seen in the lead roles along with Adivasi Shesh in Major.
The film was earlier supposed to be completed but as the second wave of the pandemic made it impossible to continue shooting as per their plan, the makers had to postpone things. Later, lead actor Adivasi Shesh was admitted to the hospital, making it difficult for the team to complete the shoot. Now that the makers have announced the release date, the buzz about the release has intensified.
Major will release in Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam. The film is produced by Sony Pictures Films India in association with Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainment and A+S Movies.
Starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Naga Chaitanya, Major will clash with Bollywood legend Laal Singh Chaddha on release. The makers of Laal Singh Chaddha had booked Valentine’s Day 2022 as the release date sometime back.
Laal Singh Chaddha is a remake of Hollywood film Forrest Gump.
