Cape Town: India Test Captain Virat Kohli Hit the net on Sunday and if his cover drives and off drives were any indication, he could return for the decisive third match against South Africa after missing the second game due to a back spasm.
The Indian team began training for the third and final Test in hopes of recovering from the defeat in Johannesburg and claiming their first series win at Rainbow Nation.
BCCI tweeted with a picture of the Indian camp, “We are here in beautiful Cape Town. Team India starts preparations for the 3rd Test.”

The third Test is to be played here between January 11-15.
If Kohli is declared match fit, Hanuma Vihari Will make way for the Indian amulet.
“It’s time to move to Cape Town. Team India all set for the series decider,” BCCI wrote in another tweet, along with several pictures including Kohli’s batting at the nets.

Trying to win their first series on South African soil, India started the rubber on a spirited note by winning the opener by 113 runs at Centurion before losing by seven wickets in the second Test in Johannesburg.
The Indian team reached Cape Town on Saturday.
The visitors at Wanderers were without Kohli’s services, but after the game, head coach Rahul Dravid had said that he expected the captain to return for the decider of the series.
Kohli missed the last Test due to a cramp in his upper back, which led to the elevation of vice-captain KL Rahul to the top post.
“Virat Kohli should be fine by all accounts, he should be fine. He has got the opportunity to run a bit, he has got the opportunity to test it a bit,” Dravid had said during a virtual press conference.
“Hopefully with a few net sessions in Cape Town, he should be good to go. Whatever I’ve been listening to and chatting with him, he should be good to go in four days’ time.”
As far as the pace department of the Indian team is concerned, Mohammad Siraj is likely to be replaced by veteran pacer Ishant Sharma, who suffered a hamstring injury during the second Test.
South Africa led by captain Dean Elgar on an unbeaten 96 in the second Test leveled the three-match Test series 1-1.
