Jaipur: Experienced akshadeep nathof stroke-file 78 and a responsible unbeaten 58 by Rinku Singho laid the foundation stone of Uttar Pradeshwon by five wickets Madhya Pradesh in the pre-quarterfinals of Vijay Hazare Trophy on Sunday.

The UP bowlers then did not allow MP’s batsmen to settle down and took quick wickets of Patidar and Venkatesh Iyer (30) as MP slipped to 204/5.
MP suffered a lower-order collapse as they lost the last five wickets for just 30 runs and were eventually bowled out for 234.
Chasing 235, UP were on 7/2 as pacer Avesh Khan (2/47) struck in the fifth over. Opener Madhav Kaushik (29; 6×4) was also not able to convert his starts and became only the scalp of medium pacer Venkatesh Iyer (1/40).
Sameer Rizvi (38) and veteran Aksha Deep Nath, who hit seven fours and a six, deepened the game with a 58-run stand for the fourth wicket. But UP slipped to 101/4 after Patidar Rizvi was run out.
However, Nath was going strong from one end and was then supported by 24-year-old left-handed batsman Rinku Singh, who hit five boundaries.
The duo added 97 runs for the fifth wicket and snatched the match from Madhya Pradesh. Once Nath fell in the 45th over, it was up to Rinku to see the team home.
The southpaw did not disappoint and in the company of Bhuvneshwar Kumar (16 not out) ensured that the team chased down the target with five balls to spare.
