Meanwhile, for the first time, the Army Day celebrations were moved out of the national capital and held in Bengaluru. Army Chief General Manoj Pandey along with other top officials attended the Army Day 2023 event in Bengaluru along with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Delhi has been hosting Army Day celebrations since 1949. According to the Station Commander, Southern Command, from this year onwards, annual celebrations will be organized in various field commands of the country to facilitate deeper engagement with the civil society.
