Vijay Deverakonda shared the first look of his new film which has been dubbed as VD12.
Vijay Deverakonda on Friday announced his new film dubbed as VD12. The film will be directed by Jersey director Gautam Tinnanuri.
Telugu Rockstar Vijay Deverakonda has announced his new film VD12. The actor will be collaborating with Gautham Tinnanuri, who directed the National Award-winning film Jersey. The announcement was made on Friday evening on the eve of Sankranti and the actor also shared the poster of the film.
The poster revealed that he will be playing the role of a police officer. However, his face was kept in the dark. It looks like Vijay will be playing the role of a detective in the film. The poster also showed a burning ship with rescue operations underway. Sharing the poster, Vijay tweeted, “The script. Team. my next When I heard this, my heart skipped a beat.”
The poster was also shared by production house Sithara Entertainments with the line, “I don’t know where I’m from, to tell you who I betrayed – anonymous detective.” The words also appear on the film’s poster.
This will be Vijay and Gautam’s first film together. The actor, who was last seen in Liger, already has two films in the pipeline. The actor is currently in the midst of the production of his film Kushi opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The shooting of the film is currently stalled due to Samantha’s health. The team is expected to resume shooting soon. After that there is Jana Gana Mana with Puri Jagannadh. However, there have been reports claiming that the film has been shelved. Vijay has so far downplayed these rumours.
