Vande Bharat Express from Patna to Ranchi trial to start today

New Delhi: The trial run of Vande Bharat Express going from Patna to Ranchi will start from Patna Junction at 6:55 am on Monday and will end at Ranchi at 8:25 pm.

Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of East Central Railway, Virendra Kumar said that this train will reach Gaya at 08:20 am from Patna Junction at 06:55 am and will reach Ranchi at 08:30 am at 1 pm. For the return journey from Ranchi to Patna, this train will leave Ranchi at 2:20 pm and reach Gaya at 7:00 pm and leave Ranchi at 7:10 pm to reach Patna at 8:25 pm.

The CPRO also said that Vande Bharat will be run purely for operational or experimental purposes, safety checks etc before regular operations. He said that during the trial, common passengers will not be allowed to travel in the train.

The zonal railway authorities will conduct several tests before the train is finally run. The train is expected to run six days a week and will reduce travel time between the two cities. It will cover a distance of over 410 kms in less than six hours.
