Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday appealed to the youth not to be misled by the campaign of opposition parties against the Agneepath scheme, saying that retired Agniveers will be given priority in the UP police force.

He said that this scheme, which has been appreciated by the world, will not only give employment to 10 lakh youth and earn their respect, but will also enable them to deal with challenges more effectively with discipline and training, as well as equip them with skills. Addressing two rallies in Azamgarh district to seek votes for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirhua’ in the parliamentary by-election to Azamgarh seat, the CM said that Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam and Uttarakhand Governments have already announced. “As per the plan, 25% of the firefighters will remain in the force, while the rest will get suitable employment opportunities in the police force. Our government has already announced that priority will be given to firefighters,” the CM said.

“The youth of Azamgarh were going through a crisis of identity. They were refused to stay in hotel rooms and rented flats. There was no development and violence and riots were common,” he said.

He said that SP and BSP have only betrayed the people of Azamgarh and BJP government after coming to power has worked for the development of the district and its people.

“The connectivity of Azamgarh is better with the opening of Purvanchal Expressway today. A person can reach Lucknow from Azamgarh within two hours. Prime Minister Narendra Modi Laid the foundation stone of the expressway in 2018 and inaugurated it in November last year. Purvanchal Expressway will create industrial clusters and generate employment opportunities for the youth. In addition, the road network is being expanded to facilitate movement of people from Jaunpur, Ballia and Ghazipur. Air services are also likely to start in Azamgarh soon. Maharaj Suhail Dev University has already been established and students of Azamgarh will not have to go to Jaunpur, Kashi and Gorakhpur to take degrees,” Yogi said.

Yogi said that 35 lakh people of Azamgarh are getting monthly double dose of ration under double engine government since the outbreak of Kovid.

“Fifteen crore people are getting free ration even today. We have given five lakh government jobs, while 1.61 crore have got self-employment opportunities. We are providing houses, toilets, free ration, electricity and safe drinking water to the people. We have also provided free covid tests and vaccines. ,

“I went to Azamgarh thrice during the pandemic and even met covid patients while the SP leader Akhilesh Yadav Not even once visited his constituency. He even misled the nation on the vaccine, calling it BJP’s vaccine and undermining its importance in protecting the lives of the people,” the CM said.
