Varanasi: Chief Minister took stock of the flood situation in Varanasi on Thursday. Yogi Adityanath On Friday, visited Ghazipur and Ballia and conducted an aerial survey of the flood affected areas.

Later talking to reporters, the Chief Minister said that 620 villages in 24 districts of the state have been affected by the floods. The flood situation intensified after additional water was released from Haryana, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Regular monitoring of relief work is being done in the flood affected areas.
“In Ghazipur district, 32 villages have been affected by the floods,” he said. He said that the rescue and relief operations are on on a war footing.
The CM took stock of every arrangement made by the administration to save the people and for the relief work done so far.
Local MLA Sunita Singh, Dr. Sangeeta, Alka Rai, MLC Chanchal Singh, District Panchayat President Sapna Singh and others were present on this occasion.
Chief Minister takes stock of flood situation in Ballia Ganges, Tons and Saryu rivers have affected a population of about 1.25 lakh in 34 villages. After the inspection, he met the flood-affected people at the Nagaji Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Maldepur and gave them relief materials.
