Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) has postponed the exam UP Joint Entrance Examination (UPJEE) 2022. The exam was to be held from June 6 to 10, but now it has been postponed. Revised dates will be released soon, reads the official website. The council did not specify the reason behind the adjournment.

“The online CBT based examinations of JEECUP (Polytechnic) 2022 have been postponed. The new date will be announced soon,” reads the official notice. Those who pass UPJEE 2022 will be eligible to take admission in polytechnic colleges of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates who had applied for the exam can check the official notice at jeecup.admissions.nic.in.

Candidates who have passed class 10th are eligible to apply for UPJEE. Those who have cleared class 12 exam or are about to appear in board exam are also eligible to apply for the exam. The application process for UPJEE 2022 concluded on April 17.

UPJEE 2022: Exam Pattern

UPJEE 2022 will be conducted in online mode. It will consist of objective type questions only and will be conducted for a duration of three hours. There will be a total of 100 questions per paper carrying a total of 400 marks. For every correct question, four marks will be awarded to the candidate and one-fourth of the mark will be deducted for every wrong attempt. The medium of examination will be in English and Hindi only.

Those who clear the UPJEE 2022 will have to go through the counseling process. The counseling usually takes place in two rounds of seat allotment. Candidates who qualify the exam will have to register and pay the fee for counselling. The process will start with the choice filling and locking of seats. Thereafter the choice selection and document verification will be frozen online after which the students will have to pay a security fee of Rs 3000 through online mode to reserve the seats.
