A shocking incident came to light in Maharashtra. Where a mother threw her 6 children one by one into the well and sat outside watching them die. After this the woman has been arrested. According to the police, he has taken this step due to a family dispute.

This painful incident is of Borwadi village of Mahad taluka of Raigad district. By Tuesday morning all the 6 bodies had been pulled out. The dead included five girls and one boy.

Why did the woman take the last step?
The woman has told during interrogation that her father-in-law had beaten her badly on Monday morning. Angered by this, the woman took the step of killing her children at night.

Children’s age between 3 and 10 years
The children who died are between 10 and 3 years old. The name of the accused mother is Runa Chikhuri Sahni (30). The dead include Roshni (10), Karishma (8), Reshma (6), Vidya (5), Shivraj (3) and Radha (3). After the death of the children was confirmed, the woman had also jumped into the well to commit suicide, but people saved her. On getting information about the incident, Mahad MLA Bharat Gogavale reached the spot along with the police and got the woman arrested.

Similar incident happened in Latur
Earlier in Vidarbha’s Latur district, a woman had thrown her 2-year-old child into a well after a dispute with her husband. After that the woman informed her family about it. Initially, the family did not believe and when the child was not seen till late in the night, his search started in the well. After some time his body was recovered by the police.
