PRATAPGARH: Senior Congress leader Pramod Tiwari, after casting his vote in Rampur Khas assembly segment of Pratapgarh district, claimed that his daughter Aradhana Mishra ‘Mona’ will win the election by a margin of at least 55,000 votes.
Tiwari also thanked Samajwadi Party for not fielding a candidate from the Rampur Khas seat.
Attacking the BJP, Tiwari said whether it is inflation, stray cattle or unemployment, BJP has failed on all the fronts.
“On March 10, the BJP will also come to an end as the sun will set in the evening,” he said.
Referring to the ‘Abbajan’ and ‘Pakistan’ jibes that chief minister Yogi Adityanath often uses in his speeches, Tiwari said, “I will say one thing, that when he has nothing to tell about the achievements of his government, he starts including these terms to divert people’s attention from the real issues.”
Tiwari said Baba ji’s bulldozer acts only after scanning people’s caste and religion, the same bulldozers will now raise the pillars of BJP.
He alleged that BJP is responsible for ‘mafiawad’ in the state and cited the BJP-BSP coalition government in 1996 to prove his point.
“In 1996, when BJP-BSP formed the government, 21 ministers were mafia and had criminal backgrounds. BJP is responsible for ‘mafiawad’ in UP, they should be blamed. When I had raised the issue then in the assembly, Rajnath Singh had replied ‘Everything is fair in politics’,” he said.
