Former India Under-19 World Cup winning captain Unmukt Chand tied the knot with fitness trainer Simran Khosla on Sunday. The 28-year-old took to social media to share pictures from their wedding and captioned the post, “Today, we’ve decided on forever! 21/11/21

Earlier, Chand, the former India Under-19 World Cup-winning captain, announced his retirement from Indian cricket in August 2021 at the age of 28, saying that he is “ready for better opportunities around the world.”

“I don’t know how I should feel honestly, I’m still figuring it out,” he wrote in a heartfelt post on Twitter. “The thought of not being able to represent my country again makes my heart beat for a while. Personally, I have had some of the best moments of my cricketing journey in India. Winning the Under-19 World Cup for India is one of the biggest moments of my life. It was a special feeling to lift the cup as a captain and bring smiles to so many Indians across the world. I can never forget that feeling,” he said.

Chand, who led the Under-19 national team in the 2012 World Cup, came into limelight after scoring an unbeaten 111 in the final of the tournament. After becoming India A regular, he also captained the team till 2015.

The right-handed batsman’s valor helped him earn a place in the 30-man squad for the 2013 Champions Trophy. He also made it to the 30-man squad for the 2014 T20 World Cup, but India could not earn the call-up. Despite being marked for success at a high level, Chand never represented India at the international level.
