Chandigarh: Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya appreciated this on Tuesday. Haryana health minister Anil Vijo On the issue of diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19 and vaccination management in the State.
“Haryana has done a commendable job in the administration of immunization,” Mandaviya said while holding a meeting of health ministers through video conferencing.
He also appreciated Vij’s style of working in maintaining the buffer stock of medicines.
The Union Health Minister said that after discussions with leading scientists of the country, it has been observed that the incidence of hospitalization is less among those who have been vaccinated. Most of those hospitalized are those who have not been vaccinated. He said that in the near future, if children and people above 60 years of age are fully vaccinated, then we will get the benefit of it. Significantly, 104% of the first dose of corona vaccine and 79% of the second dose have been given in Haryana.
Anil Vij said that vaccination is being done rapidly in Haryana and it has benefited. He said that health management is better and for this oxygen beds, ventilators, PSA plants have been installed. As per the current situation, 664 patients are on oxygen, 82 on ventilator and 294 in ICU.
