On receiving the news, the police reached and sent the body for post-mortem. The girl’s name is Sandhya Sardar. His house is in Haridebpur police station area. According to the family of the deceased, the woman is partially mentally unbalanced. He didn’t want to stay at home. He used to walk on the footpaths of various roads in the southern suburbs. The post-mortem report on Friday said that the woman was strangled to death. But the police have started investigation to find out who killed the mentally unbalanced old man.
According to the police, the CCTV footage of the area was scanned during the investigation. Preliminary investigation suggests that the woman was murdered elsewhere and left on the pavement.
