Candidates selected through the UGC NET-2022 exam conducted by NTA will be eligible for Assistant Professor and JRF i.e. Junior Research Fellow.

Important changes have been made in the information bulletin
National Testing Agency (NTA) has released its official website But the application process for UGC NET-2022 exam has started. Candidates can apply online for UGC NET June 2022 and December 2021 merged cycle till 20 May 2022. NTA has made important changes in its information bulletin this year. These changes are mainly related to application fee, number of subjects, examination center and objections to the answer.

Now UGC NET JRF exam will be held in 82 subjects
Till now the UGC NET exam was conducted in 81 subjects. University Grants Commission i.e. UGC has added one more subject in the UGC-NET-2022 exam. According to the information bulletin, a new subject ‘Hindu Studies’ subject code-102 has been added to the subject list.

10% hike in application fee
NTA has increased the UGC NET application fee for the merged cycle of December 2021 and June 2022. The application fee has increased by 10%. The application fee for general category has been increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,100. At the same time, the fee for EWS, OBC-NCL has been increased by Rs 50 to Rs 550. With the increase of Rs 25 in the application fee of SC, ST, Pwd and Transgender, now Rs 275 will have to be paid as application fee.

This time the number of examination centers increased by 126% This year UGC has increased the number of NET exam centers by 126%. This time this exam will be conducted in 541 different cities. Last year this exam was conducted at 239 places. NTA has also included the complete list of exam center cities in its announcement.

80% reduced objection fee
To allow candidates to raise objections, NTA provides the initial UGC NET answer key along with the attempted answer and question paper immediately after the exam. Earlier, candidates had to pay a fee of Rs 1,000 for each objection. Now, a fee of Rs 200 will be charged for each objection.

This time UGC NET paper will be in CBT mode
The Merge Cycle of UGC NET December 2021 and June 2022 will be in Computer Based Test i.e. CBT mode. The exam will be organized in two shifts. The time of the paper has been fixed at 180 minutes i.e. three hours. The first paper will be held from 9 am to 12 noon and the second from 3 pm to 6 pm. The first paper will carry 100 marks, the second paper will have objective type questions which will be of 200 marks. Solving all the questions is compulsory. Each question will be of two marks. The paper will be in English and Hindi medium only. UGC NET will be conducted at the exam centers across the country following all the Corona guidelines.
