India’s 2012 Under-19 World Cup winning captain Unmukt Chand tied the knot with Simran Khosla on Sunday. The cricketer confirmed the good news by sharing a picture from his wedding with his followers on Twitter. Unmukt wrote in the captain’s box of the post, “Today, we decided forever.” Simran is a fitness trainer.

Earlier in August, Unmukt had announced his retirement at the age of 28. In a series of tweets, the right-handed batsman had also confirmed that he is “ready for better opportunities around the world.”

In a heartfelt letter, Unmukt had confessed that the thought of not playing India Winning the Under 19 World Cup title with the Men in Blue was one of the brightest moments of his life, before “really makes my heart beat” in the near future.
In 2012, Unmukt made media headlines by scoring an unbeaten 111 in the Under-19 World Cup final against Australia, which India won by six wickets with 14 balls to spare. After guiding India to Under-19 World Cup glory, Unmukt became a regular in the country’s A team and also captained the team till 2015.
