Twitter board now set to share data on bots with Elon Musk to finalize $44 billion sale

Twitter’s board of directors is now ready to accept Elon Musk’s terms to finalize the $44 billion sale deal. The board is set to approve Musk’s demand for bot users to see data on the platform. The data apparently includes over 500 million tweets that are posted every day.

Musk has changed his stance on the Twitter deal ever since he made an official offer of $44 billion to the company. Their latest demands include information about spam and bots masquerading as users on Twitter, matching its end user base. They have also threatened to walk away from the deal if Twitter fails to share the data that helps it evaluate the share of fake users on the micro-blogging platform.

According to sources quoted by the Washington Post, the data of fake users can be provided to Musk as soon as this week. The dataset not only includes information about fake users on the platform, but also gives Musk access to details such as what devices are used by the user to tweet, and even how To know who is tweeting what.

“Twitter has and will continue to share information with Musk to ensure the transaction is completed in accordance with the terms of the merger agreement,” Twitter spokesman Scott Bisang was quoted as saying in the report.

Twitter is really eager to get the deal through the door, and even Musk’s demand to see the whole heap of data hasn’t deterred him from his intention to sell the platform to the company or its shareholders. Musk will be able to assess the company’s true value after receiving the data, which will help his associates finalize the best value for sale, based on the $44 billion he submitted to Twitter earlier this year. The figure may be higher or lower.

This development is likely to please Musk, but it is unlikely to be the end of the Twitter sales saga.
